Young Gives Titans a Bolt of Energy
Early in the NFL season, the Tennessee Titans were almost unanimously the biggest disappointment in the league. After winning 14 games last year in one of the NFL’s toughest divisions, expectations were high coming in 2009. The Titans stumbled out of the gate—to put it lightly—and after losing their first six games, benched veteran QB Kerry Collins in favor of Texas alum Vince Young.
Young somewhat miraculously turned the team around, reeling off five straight wins and putting the team in a position to possibly contend for a playoff spot. Despite losing last week to the undefeated Colts, the Titans have reason to be optimistic about their future with Young. Tennessee fans can safely start removing the brown paper bags and begin donning their Tennessee Titans jerseys once again.
